Vodacom upgrade status check
The following is how to check if you qualify for a Vodacom upgrade;
- First of all, you can check your Vodacom upgrade status online. Simply go to the Vodacom upgrade check website, type in your number and you will receive notification via SMS indicating whether or not you are now eligible for an upgrade.
- It’s also possible to check your Vodacom upgrade status via SMS. Send the SMS UG to 31050. You will get a response telling you whether or not you can upgrade.
When can I upgrade?
Most Vodacom contracts run for 2 years. That’s 24 months. But when do you become due for an upgrade? According to Vodacom, customers can upgrade from month 22. That’s when you will be able to get a new device.
Why even bother?
That’s how to check if you qualify for a Vodacom upgrade. But why would you want to upgrade in the first place. This is something that we have already noted. Most people take out device contracts on Vodacom.
Perhaps you got a phone or a laptop. There are many gadgets that are on offer. In any case, the phone was brand new when you got it. Presumably you were happy with the device.
However, a year or so later, new devices have since been released and you can’t wait to get your hands on those. Contracts allow people to get hold of gadgets that they would otherwise not have been able to afford.
So, you are now here, asking yourself, “how do I check if I qualify for a Vodacom upgrade?” Once you have done your check, you can do your upgrade either online or at your nearest Vodacom shop.
